Development of SmartAccess, a comprehensive solution that automates the inbound and outbound movement of goods across UPM’s production plants by truck, train, and barge. The platform unified operations across multiple sites while adapting to the specific requirements of each plant and logistics model. The project included the deployment of RFID infrastructure, self-service kiosks, and other field devices, as well as integrations with more than ten systems, including Customs, SICFE, SAP, and other enterprise platforms. More than three years after implementation, the solution continues to evolve with new features that further automate logistics processes and improve operational efficiency.
